The Flemish Giant is a rabbit and is the largest breed of domestic rabbit. The Flemish Giant originated in Flanders and reportedly bred as early as the 16th century near the city of Ghent in modern day Belgium. Many people keep them as pets, since they are typically very docile and patient when handled.
